Mobile Broadband Testing
CalSPEED program uses smartphones to measure mobile broadband at about 4,000 locations in California. Data points are interpolated across surfaces to estimate service performance and quality throughout the State. Results are shown in layers on the California Interactive Broadband Map. CalSPEED’s software code is open source, and available to others to use or modify.
